This allocation is divided between the revenue account, with Rs 5,32,655.33 crore, and the capital account, with Rs 2,03,782.38 crore, indicating a balanced approach towards operational and investment expenditures. Despite the robust allocation, a deficit of Rs 15,103.89 crore is projected post the deduction of total expenditure from consolidated fund receipts, highlighting the need for prudent financial management and resource optimization.

To bolster the agriculture sector, the budget introduces three key schemes aimed at enhancing productivity and sustainability. The State Agriculture Development Scheme is set to receive a substantial provision of Rs 200 crores, signaling a commitment to agricultural advancement and modernization. Additionally, Rs 200 crores have been earmarked for the UP Agris scheme, supported by the World Bank, to drive innovation and efficiency in agricultural practices. In a significant move towards social welfare, the budget proposes an increase in the monthly allowance for beneficiaries of the Destitute Women Pension Yojana from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000, aiming to enhance financial support for vulnerable groups. Notably, over 31,28,000 destitute women have benefited from this scheme until the third quarter of the fiscal year 2023-2024, underscoring its impact on livelihood improvement and social security.

Moreover, the Mahila Kisan Empowerment Project envisions empowering female farmers by forming 200 producer groups in the upcoming financial year 2024-2025, emphasizing women’s participation and leadership in agricultural activities.
