Transfer-posting in Bihar took place on a massive scale on the last day of June. It was quite a busy Friday, with over 1700 personnel from various cadres being transferred. Among them, 228 Rural Development Officers, also known as BDOs, were included in the transfers. Even Pratiksharat was part of this movement. Everyone has been given instructions to contribute to the newly established block and notify the authorities through email.

Those who haven’t been assigned anywhere yet will continue to serve in their respective departments. The BDO transfers, the BDO of Alinagar block in Darbhanga has been transferred back to their parent department, SC-ST. Alongside this, 37 Circle Officers, Assistant Settlement Officers, and Consolidation Officers have also undergone transfers, resulting in a total of 116 officers being reassigned.

The Planning and Development Department has been quite active in this process, transferring 116 officers and junior engineers. Furthermore, six Assistant Directors have been promoted to the position of Deputy Directors. The department has also facilitated the transfers of 18 District Planning Officers, Assistant Planning Officers, and Assistant Directors.

Additionally, 11 District Statistics Officers and 47 Junior Engineers have been relocated from one district to another. Moreover, 34 planning assistants have been moved from one place to another. All officers have been instructed to promptly contribute to their new districts. It has been made clear that the salary for the following month, July, will be paid from their new districts.

  1. The government has recently conducted transfers, and it includes a total of 11 BDOs from Gaya district. So, these 11 BDOs have been reassigned to different locations, while BDOs from various blocks in Gaya have been instructed to take their place.
  2. The Social Welfare Department, the Panchayati Raj Department has also seen a significant number of transfers. A total of 45 officers, serving as Block Panchayat Raj Officer cum Executive Officer Panchayat Samiti, have been reassigned.
  3. The Road Construction Department has also undergone transfers, with 34 junior engineers and 12 executive engineers being relocated. The Panchayati Raj Department has issued a notification regarding these transfers.
  4. Transfers have taken place in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department as well. Executive officers have been appointed in 74 urban bodies across Bihar. The Urban Development Department has issued a notification regarding the posting of executive officers in city councils and nagar panchayats. Moreover, several municipal corporation areas have received new Deputy Municipal Commissioners.
  5. The Road Construction Department has witnessed the transfer of numerous chief engineers, while the Urban Development Department has appointed new Deputy Municipal Commissioners in seven cities. Additionally, 108 other officers from this department have been reassigned. Although some departments have completed the transfer process, notifications regarding these transfers will only be issued on June 30th.
  6. Changes have been made in the Agriculture Department, including the Directorate and Divisional Office. District Agriculture Officers from various districts have been shifted to different locations. Sunil Kumar Pankaj, the Director of Basoka, has been entrusted with the responsibility of Joint Director at the Directorate of Agricultural Education.
