This scheme aims to provide package support and services to address these challenges. The objectives of the scheme include:
1. Capacity building of entrepreneurs: The scheme focuses on enhancing the technical knowledge, skill training, and handholding support services for micro food processing entrepreneurs. By providing them with the necessary training and guidance, the scheme aims to empower them to excel in their businesses.
2. Increased access to credit: The PM FME Scheme recognizes the importance of technology upgradation for existing micro food processing entrepreneurs. To facilitate this, the scheme aims to provide increased access to credit, enabling entrepreneurs to invest in modern technology and equipment to improve their production processes.
3. Support to Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self Help Groups (SHGs), Producers Cooperatives & Cooperative Societies: The scheme recognizes the crucial role played by FPOs, SHGs, and cooperatives in the micro food processing sector. It aims to provide support along their entire value chain, enabling microenterprises to avail common services.
