Mukhyamantri Sikho-Kamao Yojana (MMSKY) is an industry-oriented training scheme initiated by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The primary objective of this scheme is to provide on-the-job training to the youth who have received formal education on a large scale. Through MMSKY, these young individuals are given the opportunity to gain practical skills and experience by working as student-trainees in registered establishments.
The scheme aims to bridge the gap between formal education and industry requirements, ensuring that the youth are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the professional world. By providing on-the-job training, MMSKY encourages industrial and business establishments to actively participate in the skill development of the youth.
To facilitate the implementation of the scheme, the government has set up a dedicated portal where the establishments can register themselves. The registration process is free of cost, and establishments can easily sign up and start providing training opportunities to the youth. This platform serves as a hub for connecting the establishments with the aspiring young individuals who are eager to learn and gain practical experience.
The registration of establishments providing training to the youth under the MMSKY scheme commenced on June 07, 2023. On the other hand, the registration process for the youth who are interested in learning and acquiring work skills will start soon. The youth can apply for the scheme starting from 22nd July 2023. Following this, the process of contract signing between the youth, the establishment, and the Madhya Pradesh government will take place online from 31st July 2023.
Once the contract signing process is completed, the youth will begin their training in various establishments from 01st August 2023. The duration of the training may vary depending on the specific requirements of the establishment and the nature of the skills being taught. After completing one month of training, which is around 1st September 2023, the state government will distribute a stipend to the youth as a token of appreciation for their efforts and dedication. It is important to note that all the proceedings related to the MMSKY scheme, including registration, contract signing, and stipend distribution, will be conducted online through the dedicated portal.
